Zendaya Wore the Ultimate Clean-Girl Manicure for the ‘Dune: Part Two’ Press Tour

There’s a reason celebrities often opt for a “your nails but better” manicure, especially when they’re busy doing promo for a new project. With all the hair and outfit changes, a neutral manicure is basically foolproof; it goes with everything, so you don’t have to worry about swapping shades to go with this dress or that vintage Dior. Just ask Zendaya, whose new nails are the definition of simple perfection.

In case you’ve been living on a far-away desert planet like the characters of Dune: Part Two, you probably know that Zendaya has been busy traveling the globe to promote her new movie. It’s been a press tour for the ages with seemingly endless beauty and fashion inspo, including her clean-girl makeup paired with a robot suit. But what has the actor been wearing on her nails on all these red carpets? Basically the most flawless manicure of all time, TBH.

Manicurist Marina Dobic, who frequently works with Zendaya, gave us an upclose peek at Z’s classic sheer pink manicure. It’s not quite a milk bath manicure, as it’s decidedly more pink than white or cream.

Z’s nails have been shaped to perfection; they’re the ideal balance between short and medium-length, filed into a soft square. Her cuticles are so pristine they look photoshopped, and the color enhances her natural nail color with just a hint of tint, plus a shiny topcoat. Even if you took a magnifying glass to look for flaws, you’d come up empty-handed. (See what I did there?)

This manicure is a mainstay in Zendaya’s nail routine; it’s a look she returns to again and again, and Dobic is usually the artist behind such minimal masterpieces. She does occasionally deviate from the sheer pink sphere with French manicures and shiny silver chrome sets, though a simple, neutral nail seems to be her preferred look. Hey, when you’re wearing a vintage Thierry Mugler suit of armor or straight-off-the-runway couture as Z often does, you need a manicure that can keep up—and these nails are more than ready for the challenge.
