Puppy Bowl (Animal Planet): This year’s event will be the biggest yet, featuring 131 puppies, 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories, including the all-time smallest pup, Sweetpea, at 1.7 lbs and the biggest, Levi the Great Dane at 70 lbs. It’s Team Ruff vs. Team Fluff as they pursue the Lombarky trophy. 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT/11 a.m. PT
Super Bowl LVIII (CBS/Paramount+): in Las Vegas coverage begins at 11:30am ET Post Malone, Reba McEntire and Andra Day will perform during the pre-game for Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, the NFL has announced. The game will be played at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, and will air on CBS. The NFL previously announced Usher as the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. Country Music Hall of Famer McEntire will sing the national anthem, multiplatinum hip-hop-rock artist Malone will perform “America the Beautiful,” and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter-actor Andra Day will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be produced and arranged by Emmy Award-winning musical director/producer Adam Blackstone.
Tracker (CBS/Paramount+): Immediately following the Lombardi trophy presentation is Tracker, the new series starring Justin Hartley (This Is Us) and based on the best-selling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. Hartley stars as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. Per the press release, in the premiere episode, Colter’s handlers, Velma (Abby McEnany) and Teddi (Robin Weigert) Bruin, send him to Klamath Falls, Ore., to investigate the disappearance of 14-year-old Gil Brown who is suspected to have been taken by his birth dad with a criminal background. While pursuing a lead at a local burger joint based on intel from tech genius Bobby Exley (Eric Graise), Colter finds himself in some trouble of his own requiring help from legal mind Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene).
Says Justin Hartley: “I’m really, really proud of this show that we put together. This Is Us was a special time in my life, [and] I feel like somehow, I was able to get a second shot at it [with Tracker]. I think we have something really special. You will be entertained. It’s a fun one.”
