Taylor Swift Has Emerged in London Clad in Colorful Plaid

Hello again, London.

Music superstar Taylor Swift was spotted in a Cher Horowitz-esque plaid set from the Vivienne Westwood fall/winter 2024 collection (thanks as always to Sarah Chappelle of @taylorswiftstyled for her eagle eye), which she styled with chunky green shoes and a small leather handbag. According to celebrity gossip outlet DeuxMoi, the “Style” hitmaker was attending a party she threw for her Eras Tour staff before their upcoming five-night run at Wembley Stadium. You can see her in the outfit here. (Also…did she dye her hair a shade and a half darker? Lookin’ brunette over there, Tay!)

This is the first time Taylor Swift has been sighted since a terrorist threat in Vienna, Austria, forced the cancellation of her three planned shows there (they were planning to target her fans outside the stadium rather than the actual performers, but still, scary for all). Swift has been uncharacteristically silent about the incident—if there’s one thing she’s gonna do, it’s talk to her fans—but some speculate that due to the serious nature of the incident, she’s taking her time and gathering the facts before saying anything. Comments on the post are split between “please say something” and “here’s why she hasn’t said anything.” Many with tickets to the Vienna concerts spent a lot of time, money, and energy to be there, and while consensus was that safety comes first, the silence is apparently disheartening to them.

In my most humble opinion, throwing a party for your hard-working staff to lighten the mood before an exhausting run of shows is a pretty smart thing to do, even if at first glance it comes off a little tone-deaf. But a statement for the masses would also be nice.

After the London shows, The Eras Tour returns to North America, where she will play in both the United States and Canada until the end of the year.
