I love everything by Kerri Maniscalco and I swear the books just keep getting better.
This book is about Prince Envy. His land is being destroyed and his people are losing memories. Envy must compete in the Fae King’s game to win back something to help them. He doesn’t want anyone to know what’s been happening, not even his brothers. Camilla is a young woman in Waverly Green. Her mother left her and her father passed away. Her father was also an artist and he was obsessed with fae stories before he died. Camilla runs the art gallery and has a special skill with painting. Envy’s clue leads him to Camilla. Something happens and Camilla’s talent is taken away. She’s forced to leave with Envy and play the game. The two are keeping secrets from each other, but they also become close. Envy will only sleep with a woman once and refuses to be in a relationship. Each thing that happens seems to bring them closer though and Envy struggles with his growing feelings for Camilla.
There were definitely some steamy scenes, especially in the vampire realm. I really enjoyed both Envy and Camilla and was happy that some of the other princes made small appearances in the book.
I gave this book 5 stars.
