She left the post caption-less, but did add a song, âWho Do You Think You Are?â by the Spice Girlsâa song that, lemme just say again, came out eight years before she was born. At least she respects her ancestors. Show Gen Z the millennial culture, Millie!
In the comments, a number of fans have started speculating that this hair shift signifies the young actor will be playing Britney Spears in a potential biopic. This both does and does not make sense.
Why it does not: With the exception of Jon M. Chu being attached to direct and Marc Platt producing, there hasnât been any official announcement about this movie getting underway. It would be absolutely wild for Millie Bobby Brown to tease her casting at this point, not to mention change her hair, when sheâd just have to get her roots done again when cameras start rolling. This is simplyâ¦not how these things are done.
Why it a little bit does: Ever since Ariana Grande made the Wicked press tour about how much she always wanted to be Glinda, it seems to be open season on actors publicly campaigning for roles (not that this is technically new: Google âSean Young Catwomanâ). And Wicked was directed by? Jon M. Chu. So these kinds of stunts may work on him.
Emma Roberts is on the record as wanting to play Britney, but so is Brown. Sheâs high on the list of rumored or at least desired stars. (Meanwhile, Billboard wants MBB for Jamie Lynnâ¦also a blonde!) So is she dyeing her hair not because she has the part but in an effort to get the part? Itâs poss. It is poss.
