Will 2024 be the return of the Ariana Grande Met Gala? We don’t know quite yet, but the future is looking…eternally sunny?
It’s safe to say Grande has had a big 2024, and we aren’t even halfway through the year yet. In March, she released her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, her first in nearly four years, which premiered at number one on the Billboard 200. And that’s not the only project she’s been promoting. In November, Grande will appear as Glinda in the hotly-anticipated part one of Wicked, alongside her new boyfriend, Ethan Slater.
Grande, along with Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, has been hitting all the award shows lately to promote the film, appearing in perfectly coordinated outfits to represent their characters (Grande in Glinda pink, Ervio in Elphaba green).
So it’s not toooo much of a stretch to think that the dynamic duo will continue to make appearances at big events like the Met, especially since this year’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,“ is on brand with the whole fairytale thing (is Wicked a fairytale? For these purposes, it is).
