If we get an Emily in Paris Season 5…will that be enough time for this gal to learn French? The fourth season of Netflix’s frothy hit is almost here, but she’s still nowhere close to fluent.
Okay, but seriously, fans are wondering how long the adventure is meant to last. While there’s no confirmed pick-up, here’s everything we know about a potential Emily in Paris season 5.
Has Emily in Paris been renewed for a fifth season?
Not just yet. Netflix is probably waiting to see if the fourth season is a hit like the first, second, and third were before committing to or announcing a renewal. But in a sign that they’re expecting success, the streamer is pulling out all the stops to promote the show, from a pop-up Lillet café to an Olympic ad integration.
Creator Darren Star is definitely on board to continue the story, and in May, he auctioned off a small role on the fifth season (“contingent upon pick-up”) for charity. The details for this cool offer stipulated that filming in Paris was expected to begin in mid-2025. So, the team seems confident, even if the ink on the contracts hasn’t quite dried.
Who in the cast is coming back?
We’d imagine the core regulars would need to agree to return, but so far no one has commented. Series lead Collins, though, always seems genuinely enthusiastic when posting about the show, so that’s a point in its favor.

Surely part of the appeal for her is working with co-star turned BFF Ashley Park. “I couldn’t love you more @ashleyparklady. I don’t know what I did to deserve a friendship and sisterhood like yours, but I’ll hold onto it for dear life like in these perfectly captured photos. I love you so insanely much and am ridiculously proud of you,” Collins wrote of Park, who plays Emily’s roommate Mindy on the show.
