The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3: Everything We Know

Back to Cousins Beach! The Summer I Turned Pretty, the multigenerational drama and coming of age story focusing on Isabel “Belly” Conklin, has officially been renewed for a third season, and now we know the timeline for when the new season will premiere. Prime Video originally made the renewal announcement on August 3, 2023, while also revealing some big news in the process: It will be the biggest season yet.

Production on the new season has been underway for about a month, and they’re still filming, which will no doubt make fans delighted. Of course, it’s also expected, given the success of the Jenny Han series for Amazon and Prime Video (season 2 is one of the 10 most watched seasons of any series ever on the service). Plus, Han’s work is a trilogy.

Here’s the clip that Prime Video released to originally announce the news back in August:

When will season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty premiere?

On May 14, 2024, at the upfront presentation for Prime Video in New York City, Jennifer Salke (head of Amazon MGM Studios) announced that season 3 will debut in summer 2025. Production is currently underway on the new season, and although that is good news, it’s obviously bittersweet for fans who will have to wait another year to see what happens next with Belly, Jeremiah, Conrad, and Co. Plus, the series has become an annual summer staple—2024 just won’t be the same without it!

Salke was joined at the inaugural upfront presentation from Prime Video by The Summer I Turned Pretty creator, showrunner, and author Jenny Han, and series regulars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno.
